Born and raised in Farmington, Connecticut, Dr. Shamsa Shafi is a board-certified pediatrician and fellowship-trained allergist and immunologist dedicated to providing expert, compassionate care.
A proud graduate of Miss Porter’s School, Dr. Shafi went on to earn her undergraduate degree in Biology from Smith College and her medical degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. She completed her pediatric residency at Jacobi Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine and advanced her training with a clinical fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at Yale School of Medicine.
With over a decade of experience as a general pediatrician, medical educator, and researcher, Dr. Shafi has held faculty positions at UMass Medical School and Tufts University School of Medicine. Her clinical interests include childhood allergies, asthma, immunodeficiencies, and evidence-based preventive care. Dr. Shafi is committed to empowering families with knowledge and delivering personalized, high-quality healthcare in a welcoming environment.
When not in the office, Dr. Shafi enjoys spending time with her 2 kids and husband.
