Update:
We have resumed allergy shots and biologic injections as of Monday May 4, 2020. However, we implemented some new rules regarding shots in order to make it safe for our patients and staff. No walk-ins will be allowed. All patients will have an assigned shot time and must come at that time in order to minimize the number of patients in the waiting room at any given time. All patients will be required to answer screening questions over the phone prior to coming in and need to wear a mask while in the office. No febrile or symptomatic patients are allowed to come in. Temperatures will be checked upon arrival before receiving shots.
As of June 2020, we have now started seeing some pateints in the office for allergy testing or other urgent matters that require in person visits. Otherwise, while insurance allows us to do so, we will be continuing most doctor visits via telemedicine (audio/visual) via Doxy.me, a safe and HIPAA compliant video conferencing service, or we can reschedule patients for a future date. We are all learning how to adjust to this new way of life, so please be patient with us as we make these transitions.
In trying to keep our staff as safe as possible as well, we will be having limited staff in the office and they may not be in the office every day. As always, Dr. Burke is available for emergencies any time of the day or night by calling the office and following the appropriate steps on the voicemail. Otherwise, if your message is not urgent, AAFC staff with get back to you as soon as they can.
Please check back here for further updates and on when we will be reopening. Thanks for your understanding!
Dr. Burke and all the staff at Allergy and Asthma Family Care hope that you all stay home and stay safe! We miss you and look forward to seeing you again in person.
